Job Opportunities at Kagera Sugar Limited – Medical Department

Kagera Sugar Limited is inviting applications from qualified, dedicated, honest, hardworking, and self-motivated Tanzanian citizens to fill available positions within the Administration (Medical) Department.

Work Location: Missenyi, Kagera Region

1. Clinical Officer (2 Positions)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide basic curative and preventive healthcare services, especially to communities with limited access to medical services.
  • Observe medical ethics, professional standards, and healthcare guidelines.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Diploma in Clinical Medicine from a recognized institution.
  • At least one year of relevant work experience.
  • Valid professional practising license.
  • Ability to provide compassionate, respectful, and patient-centered care.

2. Assistant Nursing Officer (1 Position)

Duty Station: Kitengule

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care, monitor patients’ vital signs, assist with daily healthcare needs, and support patient recovery.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to professional procedures.
  • Keep accurate patient records and report any changes in patients’ conditions.
  • Educate patients and their families on healthcare, recovery, and preventive practices.
  • Work closely with doctors and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient management.
  • Carry out other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Holder of a minimum three-year Certificate in Nursing and Midwifery.
  • Valid nursing practising license.
  • At least two years of working experience, preferably in Labour Ward, Reproductive and Child Health (RCH), and Operating Theatre.
  • Ability to manage obstetric emergencies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build professional relationships with patients.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to provide compassionate care, kindness, and respect to patients.
