Position Overview
Atara Limited is seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented General Manager to provide strategic leadership across its real estate and hospitality businesses. The successful candidate will oversee daily operations, guide business growth initiatives, and ensure projects are delivered efficiently while maintaining high operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership for the company's real estate and hospitality operations.
- Lead project planning during pre-opening stages, including budgeting, scheduling, and transition from construction to operations.
- Develop and implement business strategies that support sustainable growth and profitability.
- Oversee property development, real estate sales, and hospitality service operations.
- Build and strengthen relationships with investors, business partners, and clients.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Recruit, supervise, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
- Monitor financial performance, control operational costs, and improve business efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Hospitality Management, or a related discipline. A Master's degree is an added advantage.
- At least five years of senior management experience within the real estate, hospitality, or related sectors.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making abilities.
- Innovative mindset with the ability to drive business growth.
- Good understanding of Tanzania's real estate and hospitality industries.
- Excellent command of the English language.
Head of Real Estate Department (HOD) – Atara Limited
Location: Mtwara, Tanzania
Position Overview
Atara Limited is looking for an experienced Head of Real Estate Department (HOD) to lead its real estate division. The successful candidate will oversee property acquisition, development projects, investment opportunities, and property management while supporting the company's long-term expansion plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the real estate department, including property management and agency services.
- Conduct market research to identify profitable investment opportunities.
- Lead property acquisition, development activities, and tenant management.
- Supervise projects from feasibility studies through successful completion.
- Work closely with the General Manager to achieve strategic business objectives.
- Ensure all real estate activities comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Property and Facilities Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years' experience in real estate development and management.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and project management skills.
- Demonstrated success in property acquisition and maximizing investment returns.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Tanzanian real estate industry.
- Fluency in English.
