NHC Tanzania Jobs 2025 – National Housing Corporation Career Opportunities
About NHC Tanzania
The current National Housing Corporation (NHC) is the result of the Government's decision to dissolve the Registrar of Buildings (RoB) through Act of Parliament No. 2 of 1990, which transferred its responsibilities to NHC. The former NHC was established by Act of Parliament No. 45 of 1962, while the Registrar of Buildings was established under Act No. 13 of 1971.
NHC operates under the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Human Settlements Development. The Ministry is represented by the Board of Directors, which is responsible for setting corporate policies and strategies. The day-to-day operations of the Corporation are managed by the Director General, who reports directly to the Board of Directors.
Since July 1994, NHC has structured its operations into profit centres, which are income-generating and self-sustaining directorates, and cost centres, which provide support services. This structure enables the Corporation to effectively carry out its wide range of housing, property development, and business activities across Tanzania.
