Position Summary

The Health Officer supports the delivery of quality primary healthcare services by strengthening child, newborn, community, and nutrition health interventions. The role focuses on health system strengthening, community engagement, disease surveillance, health promotion, and the integration of mental health and digital health solutions to improve service delivery and health outcomes for vulnerable populations, in line with national and international standards.

Purpose

The Health Officer supports the planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health (MNCAH) interventions within Action Against Hunger’s Kenya programs.

The role works closely with project teams, government stakeholders, and partners to ensure effective program delivery, compliance with national and international standards, timely project implementation, and achievement of project objectives through quality coordination, monitoring, and reporting.

The incumbent provides both technical and logistical support to the county health department in the implementation of the project.
