Our office has received a letter with reference CA.122/395/06/29 dated 02/09/2025, inviting applications from youth interested in participating in a training program at the Small Industries Development Organization (SIDO – Tanga) under the Inclusive Green Smart Cities SASA (Inclu-Cities SASA) project.

The training is free of charge and funded by the European Union (EU), implemented in collaboration with ENABEL (Belgian Development Agency) and SIDO-Tanga, aiming to support and develop youth and women entrepreneurs in Tanga City.

Training Areas Offered:

1. Food processing

2. Soap and cosmetics production

3. Welding and metal fabrication

4. Fish processing

5. Plastic waste recycling

6. Alternative charcoal production

Applicant Requirements:

1. Must be a resident of Tanga City

2. Age limits:

   • 18–35 years for male applicants

   • 18–60 years for female applicants

   • 18–60 years for persons with disabilities (regardless of gender)

3. Must live or operate a business in Tanga City

4. Must be a Tanzanian citizen

5. Must be literate (able to read and write)

6. Must have started a production activity for at least three months

7. Must be involved in one of the following sectors:

   • Food processing

   • Soap and cosmetics production

   • Welding and metal fabrication

   • Fish processing

   • Plastic waste recycling

   • Alternative charcoal production

8. Must be willing to attend all SIDO training sessions

9. Must have a guarantor

10. Must be willing to sign an agreement form

This program is designed to enhance skills, entrepreneurship, and sustainable business practices among youth and women in Tanga.
